Roussette de Savoie is a French appellation for dry white wines that are produced from Altesse variety. This appellation is located within the large Savoie AOC, and it has four gran cru locations (Frangy, Monterminod, Marestel, Monthoux), which can be included on the label.
Although there are differences among the subregions, the wines produced in Roussette de Savoie are usually pale or straw yellow with distinctive aromas reminiscent of almonds and hazelnuts, with hints of dried fruit, as well as floral and honey-like nuances.
