Offida Pecorino is an Italian appellation located in the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo in the Marche region. It belongs to the general Offida appellation, and it produces crisp and aromatic white wines with a minimum of 85% of Pecorino—a native Italian grape that was once on the brink of extinction, but with the help of local winemakers, it was reintroduced in the 1990s.
Offida Pecorino are straw yellow wines that will typically have greenish hues. These mineral and fresh wines usually display floral, herbaceous, and fruity aromas reminiscent of citrus fruit, melons, pears, peaches, and aromatic herbs. The wines are well-balanced with pleasant acidity, mineral background, medium body, as well as high sugar and alcohol content.
