Revelation

Revelation is an American after-dinner cocktail made with a combination of Bénédictine herbal liqueur, Kümmel, and exactly seven drops of crème de menthe. In order to prepare it, all ingredients should be stirred with cracked ice and served in a pony-glass garnished with a lemon twist.

This cocktail first appeared in William Boothby’s 1908 The World’s Drinks and How to Mix Them, where he credits a mixologist named Dennis O’Sullivan for its invention.
