Sea-Breeze | Local Cocktail From United States of America | TasteAtlas

Sea-Breeze

Sea-Breeze is a classic summer cocktail made with a simple mix of vodka, cranberry juice, and grapefruit juice. Although it originated in the United States in the late 1920s, when it was made with gin, grenadine, apricot brandy, lemon juice, and sometimes even dry vermouth, it gained fame in the 1970s when cranberry juice was combined with vodka and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.

Sea-Breeze is typically prepared by combining the ingredients in a highball glass, although it can also be shaken in order to develop a foamy surface. The cocktail is typically served on the rocks, garnished with a slice of lime.
