Greyhound | Local Cocktail From United States of America | TasteAtlas

Greyhound

Greyhound is a classic cocktail with two main ingredients: gin and grapefruit juice, although gin is sometimes replaced with vodka. To prepare it, the ingredients are mixed over ice in a cocktail glass or old-fashioned glass. The earliest written mention of the cocktail can be found in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book from 1930.

If the rim of the glass has been dipped in salt, the drink then becomes known as the Salty Dog.
