Jack And Coke | Local Cocktail From United States of America | TasteAtlas

Jack and Coke

Invented in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century, Jack and Coke is a simple cocktail made with Jack Daniel’s whiskey and Coca-Cola. As a fixed term, it was used in combined advertising campaigns of both companies, and it is often referred to as JD and Coke or Jack Coke.

After the death of Motörhead's lead singer, Lemmy Kilmister, who loved this cocktail, Food and Beverage magazine declared that the drink was now officially renamed to The Lemmy. The cocktail is usually served slightly stirred, on the rocks in an old-fashioned or collins glass, with a lemon wheel garnish.
