Lynchburg Lemonade

Lynchburg Lemonade is a signature drink of the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, located in Lynchburg, Tennessee, hence the name. Although the cocktail is named after Lynchburg, it was actually invented in Alabama in 1980. Tart, refreshing, and semi-sweet, it is made with a combination of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, triple sec, lemon juice, and lemon-lime soda.

Whiskey, triple sec, and lemon juice are poured into a collins glass and mixed with ice. The combination is then topped with soda and gently stirred. Typical garnishes include lemon wedges and maraschino cherries. Today, Lynchburg Lemonade is especially popular during summer and at barbecue parties.
