First mentioned in Anthony Burgess’ cult book A Clockwork Orange, Moloko Plus is a cocktail without a fixed recipe. In Stanley Kubrick’s movie A Clockwork Orange, the characters drink Moloko plus as a combination of milk, alcoholic beverages, and drugs such as barbiturates.
However, there is a commercial version of the cocktail, and it is made with absinthe, Anisette liqueur, Irish cream liqueur, milk, and sugar. All ingredients are shaken with ice, then poured into a highball glass. According to Alex, the main character in A Clockwork Orange, a glass of this unusual drink "would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence."
