Black and Black

Black and Black is an Irish cocktail that combines Guinness and blackcurrant cordial. The drink was allegedly invented in Ireland, known under various names. The shot of cordial is supposedly added to sweeten the slightly bitter Guinness.

The combination is not common, but it is still present in Irish pubs. To make the cocktail, the beer is poured into a tall glass and is then topped with blackcurrant cordial. The most common option for the cordial is the brand Ribena.
