Sharab al loz

(شراب اللوز)

Sharab al-loz is a traditional Middle Eastern almond syrup drink, popular in Syria and Lebanon. Made from ground almonds or almond milk, sugar, and flavored with rose or orange blossom water, it has a sweet, creamy, and aromatic taste. The syrup is prepared by blanching and grinding almonds, mixing them with sugar and water, and simmering until smooth before adding floral essences.

Once cooled, it is stored and later diluted with cold water or ice for serving. Often enjoyed as a refreshing summer drink or during Ramadan iftar, it can also be used in desserts or as a sweetener for coffee and tea.
