Miele Varesino | Local Honey From Province of Varese, Italy | TasteAtlas

Miele Varesino

Named after its province of origin settled at the foot of the Alps in the region of Lombardy, Miele Varesino is a single varietal acacia honey produced within the area between the rivers of Ticino and Olona and the Maggiore and Lugano lakes.

Varesino honey has a liquid consistency and rarely crystallizes. It is characterized by a particularly sweet flavor with hints of candy and vanilla, and has a delicate aroma of lush Alpine flora. For an interesting combination of flavors, Varesino honey is typically served with local mature cheeses or it can be enjoyed for breakfast, smeared over toasted bread together with butter or ricotta and paired with yogurt.
