Manzana de Girona

Manzana de Girona are the apples of the Golden, Red Delicious, Gala and Granny Smith varieties produced in the Girona province, in the northeast corner of Catalonia. This region of Catalonia has a long history of growing apples with the earliest documented reference dating back to the year 1300.

Every stage of the production is executed with the utmost care, thus ensuring a product of excellent quality and characteristics. These apples are smooth and shiny, without any visual defects. Pomas de Girona are firm, juicy and crisp, full of flavor and sweetness.

Their flavor ranges from very sweet, in the case of Red Delicious, to tangy and sour, which is a flavor profile of the Granny Smith and similar varieties.
