Division Bell | Local Cocktail From New York City, United States of America | TasteAtlas

Division Bell

Division Bell is a modern mezcal-based cocktail. It combines mezcal, Aperol, maraschino, and lime juice. To prepare the cocktail, all the ingredients are shaken with ice. The combination is then strained into a cocktail glass. Division Bell is traditionally served in coupe or martini glass.

Before it is served, a grapefruit twist is expressed over the drink. Division Bell is a contemporary cocktail created in 2009 by Phil Ward at his Mayahue bar in NYC. He was inspired by Last Word, the vintage gin and Chartreuse cocktail. The name Division Bell is a reference to the legendary Pink Floyd album.
