Brooklyn | Local Cocktail From United States of America | TasteAtlas

Brooklyn

Brooklyn is an American cocktail made with a combination of whiskey, dry vermouth, maraschino liqueur, and a few dashes of bitters. To prepare it, all ingredients are stirred with ice, then strained into a chilled cocktail glass. The first recipe for Brooklyn can be found in J.

A. Grohusko’s Jack’s Manual from 1908. Although the cocktail fell into obscurity after the end of Prohibition, the classic was rediscovered in the early 2000s, and it is slowly building up its popularity once again.
