Trentino Sorni Bianco | Local Wine Appellation From Trentino-South Tyrol, Italy | TasteAtlas

Trentino Sorni bianco

(Trentino dei Sorni)

Trentino Sorni is one of the smallest DOC zones in Italy. Located in Trentino, the region produces red and white blends, the latter being more common. White wines are based on the local Nosiola variety, while the usual blending partners include Müller-Thurgau, Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay.

The wines are straw-colored and pleasant. Their aroma is often reminiscent of stone fruit and quince, with floral, herbal, and citrusy nuances. On the palate, they are fresh, sapid, and crisp, with good body and acidity. White Sorni wines would pair well with lighter fare.

They can be served with appetizers, charcuterie, risottos, boiled meat, and fresh cheese.
