Pan Drops

Pan drops are traditional Scottish confectionery items. Round in shape and white in color, the pan drops are usually made with a mixture of sugar, stabilizers, acacia gum, and peppermint oil, which gives the pan drops their characteristical minty aroma and flavor.

The confectionery should crumble in your mouth, and it's often used at weddings in Scotland. It is believed that the first pan drops were made in 1884 by a Leith baker John Millar and his sons.
