Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva | Local Wine Appellation From Province of Ancona, Italy | TasteAtlas

Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva

Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva is an Italian wine appellation that produces age-worthy white wines from Verdicchio grapes. Unlike the labels produced under the DOC Castelli di Jesi, Riserva wines need to be aged for a minimum of 18 months, including six months of bottle aging, though it can benefit from longer aging.

These well-structured, full-bodied, and complex wines keep their pale yellow color and typically display floral and fruity aromas reminiscent of white flowers, peaches, and apples. They often have subtle citrus nuances and a distinctive almond aftertaste.

Despite their complexity, they remain bright and fresh. These wines are an excellent pairing with fish-based dishes, but they can also be a good match with pasta dishes, crustaceans, risottos, mushrooms, white meat, and truffles.
