Bagnoli Friularo | Local Wine Appellation From Province of Padua, Italy | TasteAtlas

Bagnoli Friularo

Bagnoli Friularo is an Italian appellation located in the province of Padua. The region produces several wine styles from the local Raboso Piave variety, locally known as Friularo. These dry red wines are full-bodied and well-structured, with pleasant cherry and violet aromas.

They have to be aged for a minimum of 12 months, while the Riserva label has to spend at least two years in oak. With age, these ruby red wines tend to attain garnet color and notes of morello cherries and spices. These red wines can pair well with red meat, game, and charcuterie.

Apart from dry red wines, late-harvest and passito styles are produced under the same DOCG appellation.
