Rezanci s pršutom is a traditional pasta dish originating from Dalmatia. Although there are variations, the dish is usually made with a combination of pasta, local prosciutto, tomatoes, onions, carrots, rosemary, olive oil, and grated parmesan.
The carrots, onions, and prosciutto are sautéed in olive oil. Tomatoes are added to the pan, and the sauce is simmered for about half an hour over low heat. The pasta is cooked in boiling salted water, drained, and then mixed with the prosciutto sauce.
