Pomada

Pomada is a refreshing cocktail that combines gin and lemonade. It is traditionally made with gin de Mahón (the only producer is Xoriguer), which is distilled and bottled on the island. This cocktail combines equal parts gin and lemonade, and it should be served over ice.

Some versions use 1/3 parts gin and 2/3 parts lemonade. It is usually garnished with a lemon slice. Pomada is a popular beverage that can be found on other Balearic islands. It is a staple on local festivities (Fiestas), and it is said that it was originally made with lemon-flavored soda, which is how some versions are still prepared.

The name pomada translates as an ointment.
