Johnny Rickey

Johnny Rickey is a variation of the classic Rickey, prepared with dark rum instead of gin or whiskey. Besides dark rum, the cocktail is made with sparkling mineral water and a half of lime which should be squeezed and dropped in the glass.

In order to prepare it, dark rum and squeezed lime should first be combined in a highball glass. Ice is added to the glass, and the combination is then stirred and topped with sparkling water. This cocktail was created at the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington D.
