Scarlett O'Hara

Scarlett O'Hara is an American cocktail made with Southern Comfort, cranberry juice, and lime juice. The cocktail can be shaken and served with no ice or stirred and served over ice. The cocktail was named after a leading character in the legendary movie Gone With The Wind, based on the eponymous Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel.

The drink probably appeared in 1939 to celebrate the release of the movie. Scarlett O'Hara is one of the first cocktails made with Southern Comfort—the whiskey-based liqueur—along with Rhett Butler, a cocktail made as an homage to the other leading character in the movie.
