Flaming Doctor Pepper

This flaming cocktail is a favorite at parties, named after the fact that it tastes similar to Dr. Pepper, a popular carbonated soft drink. It is made with a combination of beer, amaretto, and rum. In order to prepare it, a pint glass should be filled halfway with beer, while amaretto is poured in a shot glass, then topped with rum.

Amaretto and rum should be layered so that they don’t mix. Rum is then set on fire, and the shot glass is dropped carefully into the beer. It is believed that this fun drink was invented by Dave Brinks at Gold Mine Saloon in New Orleans.
