Valençay Blanc | Local Wine Appellation From Indre, France | TasteAtlas

Valençay Blanc

White Valençay wine falls into a broader Valençay appellation that also includes red and rosé wines. The region is located in the Indre and Loir-et-Cher departments of central Loire. The wine is predominantly made with Sauvignon Blanc, but the use of Chardonnay and Arbois is also permitted.

The wines are typically light and crisp. They are pale yellow, lively and refreshing, often with a subtle mineral character. The aromas are green and zesty, reminiscent of citrus fruit and white flowers. This wine would pair well with grilled fish and goat cheese.
