Pintadeau de la Drôme

Pintadeau de la Drôme is fresh meat from young guinea fowls that are reared in the Drôme region in France. The animals are slowly reared and covered in blue and grey feathers, slaughtered when they are between 87 and 100 days old.

The meat is intense and strong in flavor, with no excessive fat and a firm and fibrous texture. It can be sold whole or in portions. This product has won many regional awards which have helped in its current reputation, so today it plays a strong role in the local cuisine and top restaurants.

The most popular recipes suggest that guinea fowl meat should be paired with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and Nyons olives.
