Explorateur

Explorateur is a soft French cheese made from cow’s milk in the region of Île-de-France. It is characterized by its bloomy white rind, smooth texture, and a mild, buttery flavor with hints of truffles and mushrooms. Explorateur is a triple crème cheese with a fat content of 75%, and these types of cheese are made by adding more cream to milk.

Interestingly, it was invented in 1958 to honor the first US Satellite – Explorer, hence the name of this unique cheese.
