Embruns aux Algues is a traditional cheese hailing from Pays de la Loire. The cheese is made from cow's milk and ages for 1 month. During the production, the curd is mixed with seaweed, which encourages the rind to develop a sticky texture and an orange-pink color.


The flavor is unique – powerful and salty, with a typical aroma of the sea. The texture is semi-hard, full of small irregular eyes. It's recommended to serve it with freshly baked homemade bread and onion relish. For the best experience, pair it with a fruity Muscadet.
