Chimayó Cocktail

Chimayó is a cocktail made with a combination of tequila, apple cider, lemon juice, and crème de cassis. In order to prepare it, all ingredients should simply be stirred in an old-fashioned glass filled with ice, and the cocktail is then garnished with apple slices before serving.

It was invented in the 1960s in New Mexico, at the Rancho de Chimayó restaurant by its owner Arturo Jaramillo, who wanted to use up an abundance of apples.
