Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2011 is a prestigious cuvée that embodies the elegance, refinement, and craftsmanship for which the Taittinger house is renowned. Made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from five Grand Cru villages in the Côte des Blancs, this vintage expresses the purest character of the varietal and the unique qualities of its terroir.
The 2011 harvest, though challenging, produced fruit of remarkable concentration and minerality. A small portion of the wine is aged in new oak barrels, adding subtle toasted notes and complexity, while a decade of maturation in Taittinger’s historic chalk cellars in Reims enhances its depth and finesse.
In the glass, it reveals a golden hue with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers delicate aromas of ginger, candied citrus, almond, and white blossom, while the palate delivers precision, creamy texture, and a mineral-driven finish that is both long and refreshing.
The Taittinger Champagne House stands as a symbol of elegance, refinement, and unwavering commitment to quality. Founded in the heart of the Champagne region, this family-owned winery nurtures a long tradition of crafting exceptional champagnes that captivate the world with their freshness, finesse, and depth of flavor.
Unlike many major houses, Taittinger remains firmly in family hands, ensuring a personal dedication to every step of the winemaking process. Their vineyards span an impressive 288 hectares, with a significant portion planted with Chardonnay — a varietal that lends Taittinger champagnes their distinctive, sophisticated character.
Beyond its exceptional wines, Taittinger is renowned for blending art with champagne through its prestigious “Taittinger Collection” — a series of limited-edition bottles designed by some of the world’s most celebrated artists. Taittinger is not just a drink — it’s an experience.
