Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2012 is an exceptional sparkling wine that showcases the finesse and craftsmanship of the Taittinger house. Produced only in outstanding vintages, 2012 offered ideal conditions for ripening, resulting in a rosé of remarkable depth and elegance.

This prestigious cuvée is composed of 70% Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru vineyards of the Montagne de Reims and 30% Chardonnay from the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs. Approximately 15% of still red Pinot Noir is blended in to achieve its signature color and rich character.

After meticulous vinification, the wine is aged for nearly a decade in 13th-century chalk cellars, allowing it to develop complexity and harmony. The nose reveals vibrant aromas of wild strawberries, redcurrants, and raspberries, layered with hints of blood orange zest and pomegranate.  Read more

As the wine opens, deeper notes of rose petals, hibiscus, cinnamon, and pink pepper emerge. On the palate, it strikes a perfect balance between power and refinement, with a lively burst of ripe red berries and candied citrus fruit. The mid-palate brings a creamy texture, lifted by refreshing acidity, and enriched by layers of dried apricot, marzipan, and a chalky minerality.

The finish is long and luxurious, leaving delicate impressions of saffron and crushed strawberries. This vintage rosé champagne pairs beautifully with dishes like cherry-glazed duck breast, seared scallops, or creamy goat cheese with a red fruit compote.
