Rabbi dates are elongated, oval-shaped dates that are reddish-black in color and come from Iran, where they're mostly grown in the Sistan and Baluchestan province. They are semi-dry dates and will keep for a long time due to their low moisture levels.
Rabbi dates are considered one of the oldest dates and are also grown in Kerman province and Pakistan. As is the case with most dates, this variety is also used in the preparation of desserts or as a sweetener in dishes and is rich in minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.
