Dagnje sa slanutkom

Dagnje sa slanutkom is a traditional dish originating from Dalmatia. The dish is usually made with a combination of fresh mussels, scallions, chickpeas, olive oil, prošek, pickled onions, white wine, and white pepper. The mussels are cooked in water until the shells open.


The wine, prošek, scallions, white pepper, boiled chickpeas, and pickled onions are then added to the pan, stirred, and simmered until the liquid is reduced by half. The dish is drizzled with olive oil and it's served warm with lemon wedges on the side.
