"Whenever I go home – considering it's a 40-minute drive away, I don't go often enough – it's to Avoca we go. I go with my Mum, for those scones and a pot of tea."

"After browsing Avoca’s store full of Irish-made gifts, housewares, and clothes, follow locals down the stairs into the food hall. Order a pot of tea and a scone with cream and jam."

"My all time morning favorites were scones (on the other side of the pond). I found the ones with pears the best."

"Avoca's scones are truly something to behold. They have a real handmade look to them, are absolutely massive and are available in a variety of flavours, so you can't go wrong with Avoca's scones. There are five locations spread across Dublin, so find your nearest one and grab a scone."

"They’re delicious. My personal favourite is the brown scone, because it’s topped with a sprinkling of sesame seeds. They’re all pretty delectable though, and there’s a good variety. What makes it even better is that you get little pots of Avoca’s raspberry jam to take away with you (the pots are on the counter where you get the plastic knives and forks), which makes it an even tastier experience."
