"Shukshuka is The Place to try one of the main Israeli dishes shakshuka. It's located on the Carmel market, has great vibes and waiters who offer you a shot of Aperol on a Friday morning. They have four kinds of shakshuka: Italian, Greek, French, and the classic one. My favorite is the Italian one with basil and goat cheese."

"Shukshuka takes the classic Shakshuka to a new level, and adds a great all-around market dining experience. As the specialty here is Shakshuka, they serve a few options, each flavored with different spices. The main dish is accompanied by unlimited challah for soaking up the sauce, and a complimentary shot if you’re lucky."

"The Shukshuka chefs know exactly what they are doing. Each shakshuka was flavoured with different spices meaning they were not over dominated by the tomato paste. Our favourite was “The Spanish Shakshuka” with kabanos, spinach, onion and chickpeas. If you are looking for something slightly lighter then we would go with “Roberto’s Italian Shakshuka” with goats cheese and basil."

Eggs and cheese swimming in tomato sauce are not my idea of a delicacy, but I figured that I could just eat the bread. Well, I ended up loving our breakfast."
