Kingston is a rum-based Negroni variation. The drink is made with Jamaican rum, sweet vermouth, and Campari. Equal amounts are added to a glass filled with ice. The combination is stirred until chilled, and it should be strained into an ice-filled glass.
Kingston is typically garnished with an orange twist. This rum twist on the famed Negroni was created in 2013 by Joaquín Simó, who was working at Death & Co, a popular cocktail bar in New York. Simó got the idea when he got a bottle of Smith & Cross, overproof Jamaican rum.
