ASW Distillery's Fiddler Toasted Rye is a cask-strength rye whiskey crafted from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. This expression undergoes aging in new, charred American white oak barrels with varying char levels, followed by a finishing period in toasted barrels with light, medium, and heavy toast levels.
The finishing process imparts a complex flavor profile, featuring notes of elegant citrus, layered spices, toasted vanilla bean, and gingerbread cookies. Bottled at cask strength, Fiddler Toasted Rye offers a robust and balanced tasting experience, with a toasted maple foundation that keeps the flavors in harmony.
The finish is characterized by subtly juicy fruit and creamy oak-kissed brown sugar.
