Recommendations

"So we ended up with hamburgers, which at Zuni, is a plat that shows their precision to the details on something that’s seemingly very simple."
"These burgers are the specialty of the house at the Zuni Cafe in San Francisco."
"When anyone mentions hamburgers in San Francisco, one name immediately comes to mind: Zuni Café. While Bay Area residents can't agree on politics—or the best burrito, for that matter—the general consensus is that this is the best burger."
"The 101 Best Burgers in America: Zuni Café - The lunch-only grass-fed burger at this San Francisco classic is ground in-house, medium-lean, and comes on grilled rosemary focaccia slathered with aïoli. Beecher's Flagship or Bayley Hazen blue are available options, as are grilled onions or sliced heirloom tomatoes."
"There is a reason it has been a legend for so long, and that reason is the perfect combination of salty, fatty meat; cool aioli/vinegar pickles; and a surprisingly light and airy focaccia that complements it all. If you want to get crazy you can add grilled onions and some Beecher’s Flagship cheese, but it doesn’t need it all. The meat stands alone."
"Best Burgers in the U.S.: Zuni Café - Instead of traditional cucumber pickles, legendary chef-owner Judy Rodgers accents her burgers with thin-cut zucchini strips pickled in apple cider vinegar, mustard seeds and turmeric."
"Six Great Garlic Breath-Inducing Caesar Salads: Zuni Café - Zuni has to be included in any round-up of Caesar salads. Full romaine leaves are coated with a dressing of fresh beaten eggs, lemon juice, garlic, and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano. Croutons are made from Acme levain bread and toasted three or four times a day so they stay fresh. This dish is simply named the “Zuni Caesar Salad,” because it needs no hype, description, or pretense."
"San Francisco's Zuni Café still serves one of the world's best."
"I had their Caesar as a starter and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Their version was tart but not necessarily lemony. It had the perfect balance of flavors that I haven’t tasted in a restaurant Caesar salad in a long time."
"The best Caesar salad ever is served at the iconic Zuni Café in San Francisco."

"Zuni is the best Caesar in San Francisco, and one of the top 10 in the USA for sure. Perfect balance of lemon, garlic, and anchovy. I pride myself in making one of the best Caesar salads anywhere, so offering praise to Zuni says something. Their croutons might seal the deal..."
