Resta di Como

Resta di Como is a traditional sweet bread hailing from the Lake Como area in Lombardy. The sweet bread is usually made with a combination of flour, butter, raisins, sugar, candied fruit, yeast, eggs, honey, lemon, and salt. Traditionally prepared for Palm Sunday and associated with Easter, resta is similar to a squat panettone, although it's richer in currants, raisins, and dried fruit.

The name resta means fish bone in local dialect, referring to the fact that the sweet bread contains a small olive branch that's stuck inside the dough before baking.
