Prince of Wales

Prince of Wales is a cocktail with several variations, but it is most often prepared with a combination of a liqueur such as Maraschino, champagne, Angostura bitters, sugar syrup, a pineapple cube, and either cognac or rye whiskey. In order to prepare it, all ingredients except champagne are shaken with crushed ice, then strained into a cocktail glass, and the cocktail is finished by the addition of champagne.

This bitter, sweet, and sour drink was created by Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, who would later become King Edward VII.
