Midleton Very Rare 2022 is a distinguished Irish whiskey crafted by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman. This vintage release is a harmonious blend of single pot still and single grain whiskeys, aged between 12 and 33 years in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels.
Bottled at 40% ABV, it presents a fruit-forward aroma with notes of mandarin and candied apple, complemented by white pepper, nutmeg, hazelnut chocolate, and toffee. The palate offers flavors of caramelized red apples, orange zest, and crème brûlée, intertwined with pot still spices and cereal undertones.
The finish is rich and lasting, with the grain and pot still spices gently fading, allowing the oak to have the final say.
