Midleton Very Rare 2023 is a distinguished Irish whiskey crafted by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman. This vintage release is a harmonious blend of rare and hand-selected single pot still and single grain whiskeys from Midleton's exclusive inventory.
Matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels, it offers a complex aroma featuring notes of nectarines, ripe melon, green apple, and apricot, complemented by pot still spices like freshly peeled ginger and crushed peppercorns. The palate is luscious, presenting succulent fruits and a distinctive creaminess, with herbal undertones reminiscent of chamomile tea.
The finish is long-lasting, with fruits and pot still spices building to a crescendo before giving way to oak tannins and antique grain whiskey.
