Mayizli palov

Mayizli palov is a traditional rice pilaf originating from Uzbekistan. The dish is usually made with a combination of meat such as mutton or beef, oil, carrots, onions, rice, raisins, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and salt. The meat is browned in oil with onions, carrots, cumin, coriander, salt, and raisins.


The mixture is covered with water and simmered for a while. The rice and turmeric are then added to the pot and the plov is cooked until the rice becomes soft and fully cooked. Once done, mayizli palov is served on a large platter while still warm.
