Jurançon Moelleux | Local Wine Appellation From Jurançon, France | TasteAtlas

Jurançon moelleux

Belonging to Jurançon appellation, which is located in in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Jurançon moelleux is a dessert wine that is made with a combination of Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng grapes. These golden-colored wines are praised for their exceptional balance of sweetness, alcohol, and acidity.

They will typically display aromas of honey, spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, or cloves, as well as notes of white flowers and candied fruit. Although they are dense and concentrated, Jurançon moelleux wines should always remain fresh and lively.

They are an excellent match to cheese, foie gras, and various creamy or fruit-based French desserts.
