"There was a famous Danish national late-night dish. That's a classic one. All my happiest moments seem to revolve around meat in two forms. That's superb. It's really good. Come to Copenhagen, NOMA for lunch, John's for dinner."

"Copenhagen's Best Fast Food Restaurants When You Can't Eat at Noma: John's Hotdog Deli - Much more central is John's Hotdog Deli, which pitches up every other week on the doorsteps of the city's main train station. John, a sausage slinger with the mindset of a punk and the beard of a metal band roadie, has gone rogue and pimped hot dogs out with toppings such as beer-pickled onions, miso mayonnaise, and mustard made with imperial stout from the microbrewery Mikkeller."
"A big part of the reason why tourists and Danes alike frequent the stand is because Jensen is known for crafting homemade sauces for his dogs and the meat is often locally sourced. On the menu you’ll find everything from sausages (medister) to frankfurters and even French dogs (Fransk hotdogs) that are encased in a baguette instead of the typical squishy hot dog bun you might be used to. Whether you’re looking for a late Friday night bite or some finger food before boarding your train, Johns Hotdog ... Read more
"The loaded hot dog was out of this world – covered in red onions, crispy fried onions, relish, ketchup, mayo and who knows what else. It was a flavor explosion."
"We mentioned John and his delicious dogs in our ‘Ten for under a Tenner’ series as a Copenhagen must – and that still stands. The toppings are incredible, the meat is proper quality, and the service is with a smile."
"Our second-to-last hotdog in Copenhagen was from John’s Hotdog Deli outside Copenhagen Central station. John’s Deli is one of the brightest lights of the Copenhagen hotdog scene, with John apparently one of the most adventurous experimenters in the hotdog industry – while he’ll do all the standards, he’ll also offer seasonal specials. We went for something plain and simple though – another French hotdog."
"The classic cart doesn’t look any different from most of the others, but there’s some serious flavor hiding behind the unassuming facade, and you’ll soon realize that John’s hot dogs have not much in common with your average Copenhagen street dog. It starts with the bread, which is grainier and more sturdy than the classic hot dog buns. The sausages are homemade, thicker, and delicious, and John’s is famous for their wide selection of hot sauces, which you should slather generously on your hot ... Read more

"John has all the classics. Red and roasted sausages, frankfurter and with bacon wrap. But he also does a new take on these. He has made his own chili sauces, he uses uncommon sausage ingredients like truffle, ginger and Jerusalem artichokes. This is a great place to get the original, but also try out a new version of the Danish hot dog."
