Huangshan Maofeng is a green tea produced in Huangshan, Anhui. It is one of the most popular Chinese green tea varieties and is considered one of the top ten Chinese teas. It can vary in quality, appearance, flavor, and aroma, depending on the harvest time and production techniques, but the best examples are harvested in the spring, and processed leaves are small, wavy, slender, and covered in soft white fuzz.
When brewed, this tea produces a bright and clear yellow-green liquor with a fruity and subtly sweet flavor, minimal astringency, and floral aroma that is often reminiscent of orchids.
