Falstaff - 100

Château Latour à Pomerol is one of the finest properties in Pomerol which is managed by Jean-Pierre Moueix of Pétrus and Trotanoy fame. The vineyard is now planted to 100% Merlot but had some plots of Cabernet Franc in the past. This is a very rare bottle from the 1961 vintage, which is now over 60 years old.

For Bordeaux, 1961 was a legendary year with great wines produced, particularly in Pessac-Léognan, Pauillac, Saint-Julien and Pomerol.

About Château Latour

Chateau Latour is one of the oldest continuous Bordeaux wine-producing properties in the Pauillac appellation with a history dating all the way back to the 14th century! The estate takes its name from the original Saint-Lambert tower placed close to the chateau that was created in the second half of the 14th century.
