"BUT, the best food there is the Peruvian grandmother food. Pastele de Choclo bursting with fresh corn flavor. Panchita sits in the shadows of La Mar and Asrtrid y Gaston, but deserves to be visited by anyone hitting Lima for the first time."
"Panchita, one of a handful of restaurants Acurio owns in Lima, pays homage to Peruvian grilled meats, or anticuchos. Flavorful, tender and cooked perfectly, this is a fantastic version of Peruvian street food."

"Another winner is the crisp suckling pig with tacu-tacu."

"Nearly everything on the menu is good, but standouts include the anticuchos (kebab-like skewers, usually of beef hearts, but here also with more imaginative options such as swordfish)."

"Anticuchos are grilled over an open flame to melt-in-your-mouth perfection."

"As much as I love seafood, I decided to go for something different and went for the roasted duck with rice dish - I didn’t regret it!"
"One of the best restaurants to eat anticuchos in Lima."

"Lastly arrived a rather huge Pastel de Choclo; a cake made from corn that is sweet and usually served with a meat filling that includes raisins (S/29). We were expecting just a slice of a much larger ‘pastel’, however we found ourselves serving up individual portions from an immense ovenproof dish that had been brought to the table piping hot and smelling delicious. Very homely and, without a doubt, quintessential comfort food."
"Thanks to Martha Palacios’ inimitable touch in the kitchen, this restaurant offers exquisite starters, superb stews, outstanding saltados, and a heavenly pastel de choclo."

"Good mix of fine meat, tomato, onion, garlic, pepper, with a good sauce, accompanied by rice."
