Zadarska torta

Zadarska torta is a traditional flourless cake from the city of Zadar in the Dalmatian region. It is made primarily with oranges and ground almonds, combining the fresh, citrusy zest with rich, nutty flavor and a dense texture. A key ingredient in the cake is Maraschino, a cherry liqueur that originated in Zadar, which adds a distinctive sweetness and aroma.
