TTES No. 21, also known as Hong Yun, is a relatively new variety of black tea developed by the Taiwan Tea Research and Extension Station (TRES). This cultivar is the result of crossbreeding between the wild Assamica variety and Keemun (Qimen) tea.

The tea is distinguished by its natural sweetness with citrus notes, complemented by hints of blueberry and blackberry jam. Hong Yun black tea is a luxurious Taiwanese creation that can proudly be compared to any other high-altitude black tea from Taiwan.

About Yuchi

Nestled in the heart of Taiwan, in the picturesque Yuchi Township of Nantou County, the Yuchi Township Farmers' Association carries a rich tradition of cultivating and processing high-quality tea. Established to support local farmers, this association has grown into one of the leading names in premium black tea production, recognized not only in Taiwan but also worldwide.

The association's most renowned product is Sun Moon Lake Assam Black Tea, cultivated on the fertile, misty hills surrounding the famous Sun Moon Lake. This region, with its perfect combination of altitude, climate, and soil conditions, enables the production of tea with an exceptional taste, rich aroma, and velvety texture.

Assam tea from Yuchi is known for its deep, sweet flavor with subtle notes of cinnamon and honey, making it a favorite among tea enthusiasts. Beyond loose-leaf tea, the association also produces various tea blends, tea bags, and innovative products such as black tea-infused chocolates, ice cream, and other delicacies.

Their approach seamlessly blends traditional tea processing techniques with modern packaging and distribution methods, allowing tea lovers around the world to experience this authentic Taiwanese specialty
