About Weingut Joachim Flick

Weingut Joachim Flick is a historic winery located in the Straßenmühle of Flörsheim-Wicker, at the gateway to Germany's Rheingau region. The estate's history dates back to 1318, when it was first documented as a mill built by the Counts of Eppstein.

The Flick family has been involved in viticulture since 1650, spanning multiple generations. Today, under the ownership of Reiner Flick, the winery cultivates approximately 20 hectares of vineyards, primarily planted with Riesling and Pinot Noir. These vineyards extend from Wicker through Hochheim to Lorch, benefiting from the calcareous soils of the ancient Mainz Basin, which impart a unique minerality and longevity to the wines.
